It Stops Today by Colbie Caillat
The Saltwater Room by Owl City

Ya' know, when I was 15 or 16 or even 18, I was always looking forward to turning the BIG 21. Now that I have, and with so many things that took place from then right up to now, time has allowed everything to change. When I actually turned earlier this week, it was nothing to me. Not in a bad or sad way though. It was merely another year & another birthday. That's it. I mean what is the big deal about it?

Don't know if it's just me or if this happens to others too, but whatever, not important. Well, not anymore that is.
Needless to say, I gotta say A BIG THANK YOU to all those MSN wishes, text messages, emails, calls, Facebook & Twitter messages, hugs & gifts. =D

So do I feel a year older?

Honestly, no. HAHAHA... Age is just a number, honey!
Let's see if I've changed all these 21 years...

Now now dearies, don't laugh. This was taken when I was about a year plus...

And this is obviously the current picture...

Changes? That I'm not sure of but I do know one thing that has not changed while comparing these two photos!
I still love to cam-whore!! LOL. One year old or not, 20 years later, I still carry the same hobby =P

Speaking of changes that never took place & for the sake of this "21 chapters" marathon, I'm gonna kick off with listing 21 changes that never took place...yet!

The 21 Changes That Never Took Place...Yet!

1. I still feel chills in the dark ~ well it's pretty understandable when I was little, but all those years of constant vivid imagination after watching/listening to horrors & the nightmare period a few years ago, it has become a tradition. Sadly.

2. I still can't swim ~ I personally think that water isn't a pretty friend of mine

3. I'm still a poser in photos ~ Nuff said. If you ever get the chance to take a looksee into my photo albums when I was younger, the photos speak for themselves!!

4. I still am so bad in Chinese ~ AND i don't give two hoots!

5. I'm still a girl ~ HAHAHA... I just had to put that in..In case some retards had that thought =P

6. I still hate onions ~ For the love of God, PLEASE stop saying I'm weird for disliking onions & stop making me eat them!!

7. I still don't get to have my own dog ~ mehhh... this will change someday, I know this. 100% confidence level OK!

8. I still cry like a baby ~ shy can? =(... better stop laughing at me or I'll start crying, I tell you.

9. I still love to read ze books ~ although I have to say that my preferences have changed a little bit

10. I'm still am THAT TALL GIRL ~ the only way this is gonna change is if we all start growing shorter as we grow older...

11. I'm still damn 7 bad with numbers ~ it's like my memory is not meant for numbers.. or my cognitive capability for that matter

12. I still love to sleep with lotsa of pillows around me ~ but the number has decreased of course. I used to have more

13. I still have that sarcastic gene in me ~ although the "sting" ain't that awesome anymore... old already can?

14. I can still bitch like one ~ so don't mess with me? =P

15. I still can't whistle if my life depended on it ~ tried so many times - all fail!

16. I still can't snap my fingers ~ no sound it made for every attempt i make - confirmed!

17. I still have not join the dance classes I wanted to take up ~ long story; lazy to explain

18. I still blog! ~ because it gives me a place to ramble, have some peace in mind, keeps me insane & a place for me to vent vent vent

19. I'm still as loud as I can ever be ~ I can't help it larh!! I keep telling myself - calm down, slow that volume down please. But to no avail. Especially when I get provoked, excited or annoyed

20. I'm still as ticklish as ever ~ gahhhhhh... must learn to not be ticklish!!! (NY's resolution! pffftt ya right?)

21. I still contradict myself all the time ~ example: see number 20.. nuff said!

welcome to the dark side, honey

This little miss of a hundred million confessions has just turn to the dark side.

I find myself in my usual graphic browsing & hunting mode again. It's been quite some time since I last did this. I guess this is a sign that my brain either lacks creative inspiration due to over usage or my brain is in a frantic creative drive.

So true ain't it??

Love is ... ?

Love is the unspoken words
Love is the nervous flutters in the middle of your stomach
Love is happiness
Love is pain
Love is confusing and mind-boggling
Love is the joy of having the company
Love is the look you see on the face that makes you smile
Love is hate being upside down
Love is crazy
Love closing your eyes and thinking of nothing but
Love is sharing and peaceful
Love is the tears of misery from missing someone
Love is the tears of joy
Love is hellos and insincere goodbyes
Love is long warm hugs when it's raining
Love is kissing under the umbrella
Love is complicated
Love is the art of compromise
Love is ignorance
Love is the test of patience
Love is foolish
Love is the dream we hope for and the reality we strive for
Love is the course of understanding
Love is the beauty of communication
Love is naive
Love kills
Love heals
Love is the music of our soul
Love is the language that is unwritten, unspoken yet understood
Love is sacrifice
Love is a tease
Love is ... ?

What is love to you?

that's all i have to say for now

Dream by Priscilla Ahn

I absolutely ♥ this song. Priscilla Ahn has this really sweet & amazing voice, I must say. Have a listen if you don't already know this song! You're bound to love it ;-)

I think the first time I heard this song was back when I watched Disturbia. (lol, that movie reminded me of certain skin-chilling yet L-O-L moments in the cinema)
I was pleased when this song was featured in the movie, Love Happens. Oh by the way, watch that movie if you've not. It's beautiful =)

This song is not just a song. It's one of the songs I hear when I'm bored, when I'm alone, when I'm sad, when I feel lost, & when I'm happy. This song reminds me of all the happy moments. The little things.

This song takes me to another world. This song makes me dream and this song helps me sleep.

Another thing that this song does is that it brings me back to my younger moments.

I'd remember all the fun play-times, moments at the swing, moments where I laugh till I cry and how I loved it when my mum used to braid my hair. HAHA.

And as the title spells, listening to this song brings back memories of my unforgettable dreams and past wishes. Have you ever had childhood dreams?

There's a few I can remember of:
1) Meeting Batman & Superman
I've had this dream of meeting both of these fictional superheroes before & that I would snap a photo of myself alongside the two of them. LOL. To think that I actually think of how it would be if these two were real and that I would meet them!!

2) Being a famous singer
HAHAHAHAHAHA... okay okay. I admit it. This is way too funny to not laugh at. I used to play pretend as a singer or a rockstar. I even have a photo of me to prove it. Using a badminton racket as a guitar and I used to use anything long as a mic. Hey. don't make fun! I take this seriously, for your information...I even put on Dad's old shades for that "superstar" look. =P

3) A fashion designer wannabe
This is one dream I was really serious with at one point. NO JOKE. I used to hunt for various fashion magazines, check out latest season's trends, watch fashion related news & shows. I even have several sketch books where I would doodle and sketch designs on. But sadly, I think the books are all gone by now. Remember times when teachers would ask students one by one in class, what they wish to be when they grew up? Well, it was this point of my life that my answer  would confidently be "A Fashion Designer". haha. But then as I grew, I just don't see myself making it as one; especially as a steady career. Plus, parents didn't approve of this dream of mine.

4) Being an international pianist
Yeah. I would always meddle with my cousin's piano whenever I hang around at her place. Even when there isn't one, I used to play imaginary pianos, making those finger gestures on any surfaces I can rest my hands on. I guess it was the stereotype I got used to back then and the fact that pianists in movies or the TV were all pictured as graceful and feminine. HAHAHA... Oh well, that dream got crushed when Dad say no to piano lessons. =(

5) Ballet dancer
That #4 brings me to this. Again, the graceful and feminine part. And I used to be so amazed with how toes are pointed downwards when ballet dancers dance. And I used to associate ballet with swans. Cliche to the max. I know. Anyway, this was nothing big. I'm actually half glad I did not do ballet. Why? It's for me to know, and for you to find out ;-)

Well... well... there are many more where all this came from but let's not clutter this space with all my little bittle past dreams & wishes now.

Before I end this, do take a listen to Priscilla's Red Cape, Wallflower & Rain.

welcome to the happy place

I know it is rather early to tell but so far, I'm loving 2010. No complains. Fresh start.

I can feel the freshness in the air, babeh! What can I say?
We're not cats; we ain't got 9 lives. We're given one and we should all live it to the fullest.

To ring in the new year, I recently bought myself an iTouch. I must say it is so so so sexy, dressed in red.
Now my playlists goes with me wherever I go. And on that note, here's a couple of music videos I'd like to share. Specifically the songs, not the videos (as and if you see, some of the them aren't official music videos).

Give em' a listen ;-)
